Terms of Use

Who we are
Protomight LLC provides online education about tabletop game design and prototyping. Contact us at support@protomight.com or write to 5900 Balcones Dr, Ste 100, Austin, TX 78731-4298, United States.
These terms cover your use of our website, course materials, and account. Paddle's applicable buyer terms also govern purchases made through Paddle. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information, and our Refund Policy explains refunds.
Accounts and access
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into the applicable agreement to create a Protomight account or make a purchase.
Course 1 requires a free account. The Protoblog is publicly available without an account. Paid courses require the relevant completed purchase and account access.
Sign in using a code sent to your email. Keep your email account secure, do not share login codes or your Protomight account, and contact us if you believe someone else has accessed it. Account access is intended for one individual unless a separate written agreement says otherwise.
Purchases and bundles
Paid courses and bundles are one-time purchases, not recurring subscriptions. The checkout shows the applicable price, tax, currency, and total before payment. Paddle acts as the merchant of record and handles payment processing, applicable transaction taxes, receipts, and refunds. We do not receive your full payment-card number.
Eligible completed, non-refunded purchases of Courses 2–4 receive credit toward the Courses 2–4 bundle. The checkout displays the credit and remaining amount before you pay. Free access, refunded payments, or uncompleted checkouts do not count as paid purchase credit. Credits cannot be exchanged for cash.
Course materials and exercise files
Your purchase gives you personal access to the purchased course. Videos, subtitles, course text, and example assets remain protected by intellectual-property rights. You may download the exercise files supplied with courses you can access and use them to follow the lessons.
Do not redistribute the course videos or exercise files, publish them as your own training materials, resell access, or share your account. Learning a technique does not give you ownership of Protomight's example game, artwork, characters, or other supplied assets. You retain ownership of your own original work.
Supplied exercise files and RoH example assets are licensed only for your personal educational use. You may study and modify them for practice. You may not resell or redistribute them, in original or modified form, or include them in commercial products. You may apply the techniques you learn to your own original work. Third-party software, fonts, and assets retain their own licenses.
Course delivery and changes
Courses are streamed online. Exercise downloads are provided where listed. Course 3 includes a view-only Google Sheet reference in addition to downloadable resources; that shared reference depends on the third-party service and is not a substitute for keeping your downloaded spreadsheet.
We may update lessons and improve the service. We do not promise a particular access duration in our marketing. This does not allow us to disregard rights arising from your purchase or applicable law. If a material change prevents us from supplying what you bought, contact support so we can arrange an appropriate remedy.
Software and learning outcomes
Course pages identify the tools used. Students are responsible for obtaining required software and checking system requirements, including any third-party subscriptions or licenses. The courses teach workflows and techniques; they do not guarantee a particular game, income, commercial result, or proficiency level.
Responsible use
Do not attempt to bypass course access checks, obtain another member's information, interfere with the website, or copy protected content without permission. We may restrict access reasonably where there is evidence of unauthorized use, security abuse, or a reversed payment. Contact support if you believe a restriction is an error. These provisions do not limit mandatory consumer remedies.
Refunds, support, and disputes
Our 14-day Refund Policy applies to individual paid courses and bundles. Refunded purchases no longer grant paid access. Contact support@protomight.com for course or account issues and Paddle for payment issues where appropriate.
Texas law governs these terms to the extent permitted by law. Mandatory protections and available remedies in your country of residence still apply. Nothing here excludes liability or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
We will revise the last updated date when these terms change. Material changes will be communicated where required, and will not retroactively remove rights attached to an existing purchase.
